James “Skip” Heflin
Operations Manager – Georgia
Skip Heflin began his career in Emergency Services in 1989 and retired from Hall County Fire Services as the Assistant Chief of Operations where he worked for 28 years.
He has worked in many different facets of Emergency Services including EMS, Fire, Technical Rescue, and Incident Command. He has co-authored several books and wrote for many industry magazines as well as an extensive teaching background.
He began working for Amerimed EMS as a Paramedic during April 2018 and promoted to North Ga Division Manager in August 2018. Though his hard work, dedication to service and professional approach to his responsibilities, Skip was again promoted to Operations Manager for the State of Georgia.
Skip is married to Cheryl Heflin, has 3 daughters and loves to spend time with his family and traveling. Skip considers himself a lifelong student of the Emergency Services profession and strives to learn something new every day.
